Ajit Chakravarti is the Mentor for Neo Values and is also in the Board of Advisors.

Ajit is a B.Tech from IIT/K (1972) and holds a post graduate qualification in business management from IIMC (1974).
He has held senior management positions in HCL (1974-1980 (Corporate Personnel Manager), Pressure Cookers and Appliances Ltd (Hawkins-Corporate IR Manager-1980-1983) and Asian Paints (Head, Corporate HR Function - 1983-1988).
He has also had a five year stint (1989-1993) as an independent management consultant and Trainer based at Bombay with a client list comprising of a number of blue chip companies. In 1994, he was appointed the CEO & EVP of the software entity of Pertech Computers (PCL) called Mindware, which clocked the fastest growth in the software industry during that period and achieved the status of being the second largest exporter of software to Japan after TCS. He served as the President and CEO of Ashok Leyland Information Technology (later rechristened as HTMT) from 1999-2002. Thereafter, he worked as the VP-Global HR in the K. K Birla Group and was a member of the Management committee, overseeing the Group’s HR from 2002-2005.

He was the past chairman of the Karnataka chapter of Indo American Chamber of Commerce(IACC) for the year 2001- 02 and Senior Vice President, South India Council of IACC for the year 2002-2003. Since 2009, he is a member of the national Executive Council of the Indo American Chamber of Commerce.

Since 2006, he has been rendering training, consulting and advisory help to corporates and individual entrepreneurs. His areas of expertise cover business leadership, enhancement of individual effectiveness through self exploration, building effective teams and strategic people management. As a senior partner of Talman Partners he has developed the AG Model for mentoring CXOs along with Mr. Govind Mirchandani (IITB/IIMC) who has held top level positions in the apparel industry. He is mentoring two startup entrepreneurs since 2009.

He has been involved with post graduate teaching in Management in several leading management institutes. He was an Adjunct Professor at T.A.Pai Management Institute during 2006-2009 offering courses in Business Leadership, Career Planning & Management, and HRM in their Post Graduate Management Programme. During this period he was also the Convenor of Tapmi Centre of Collaborative Learning (TCCL) - a platform for engagement with the industry to facilitate collaborative learning. Since 2009 he is involved in mentoring two academic entrepreneurs in setting up post graduate management institutes.
